Taste of Unity

About This Opportunity

The 8th annual Taste of Unity Harvest Party is a fund-raising event to celebrate local food, local chefs, and fellowship. The venue includes a beautiful banquet room graciously hosted by the Palais Royale and Navarre Hospitality Group. Guests will enjoy visiting stations of local chefs, preparing a variety of delightful tapas; small appetizers for all to enjoy! This event offers businesses and community members a fun opportunity to help “grow” our community through Unity! Enjoy our live music, silent auction, and cash bar. Volunteers are needed to help with the silent auction check out process, restock chefs supplies during the event, as well as several other variable things throughout the night.

Organization Information

Unity Gardens Inc.

Unity Gardens unique dignified free food model has connected our community to fresh produce for 8 years in the St. Joseph County through ~40 open gardens, free wellness programs & classes reaching thousands of families & children to reduce food insecurity & social isolation. "How can we provide food security while empowering those we help? What if we could reshape the narrative of the soup kitchen and erase the line separating us from those we serve? Is there a way to make better use of city spaces, creating green places in under-served communities?" 9 years ago, Unity Gardens was founded to address these issues and has now become a uniquely dignified health and wellness model to address food security and nature deprivation issues. We are growing a tradition of service and sharing in our community that serves as a template for others throughout the nation.
