Ten Thousand Villages in Goshen is one of a network of non-profit, fair trade retail stores that create opportunities for artisans in developing countries to earn income by bringing their products and stories to our markets through long-term, fair trading relationships. We sell handcrafted gifts, home decor, jewelry and personal accessories, made by fairly paid adult artisans in developing countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East, to consumers in Goshen and surrounding communities. The income earned through sales of their crafts enables artisans to support themselves, their families, and their communities, using it for food, housing, healthcare and education. We sell goods to do good, and believe market-based solutions can end the cycle of poverty.
