The Goshen Parks & Recreation is excited to host the 16th Annual Kerry’s Kids’ & Teens’ Triathlon! The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 11 at Shanklin Park in Goshen, Indiana. Participants ages 5-18 will compete in this professionally chip timed race. The 2019 event attracted nearly 300 participants representing 25 different cities in the region. The event is conducted much like a traditional triathlon; participants begin with the swimming competition, then move right along to the bike route and finish with the run portion of the race. All participants compete in all three portions of the race consecutively. Racers compete with those in their swimming status group, gender group and age group. We are always looking for volunteers to help us with this wonderful community event! Volunteer assignments include: Course Marshals, Packet Pickup, Finish Line, Transition Area, Food Prep, Water Stations, Info Tent.
